Encourage institutions to become climate neutral

Large institutions, for example schools or universities, should be encouraged to become climate-neutral.

If we make institutions such as schools and universities eco-friendly, our younger generation will become used to leading an almost climate-neutral lifestyle and living with minimum waste.

With this, we would be able to implement the same strategies in our work environments, and our homes simultaneously, while influencing older generations in society.

A small first step could be to require everyone to learn how to separate waste and incorporate the practice into our daily routine. Students could also be encouraged to participate in environmental activities such as beach, city centres and community clean-ups.

I think that the biggest issue with this would be the funding on how to make such changes to either universities or schools.

I believe that encouraging schools in the first place to become climate neutral is the starting point for the future of our planet, because pupils and students are the future generations who will be able to make things better.
